Privacy at a glance

This policy applies to the SayTake macOS application and this website. “CogitoLab,” “we,” and “us” refer to the maker of SayTake. It explains processing by SayTake; Apple and any custom model provider you choose apply their own policies to their services.

Projects stay local by default

Drafts, Scene content, teleprompter scripts, stage elements, imported assets, recorded Takes, presenter video, and exports are stored on your Mac in the locations you choose or inside the local .saytake project package. V1 does not upload or synchronize those files to a CogitoLab cloud.

macOS may still copy files through services you independently enable, such as iCloud Drive, Time Machine, another backup product, or a shared folder. Those services are outside SayTake’s control.

Camera, microphone, and recording

SayTake requests macOS camera and microphone permission only when the related feature is used. Live camera frames and microphone audio are used to preview or record the Take you initiate. The circular presenter view is included in preview and export only when you enable it.

Captured media is written locally. SayTake does not send raw camera or microphone streams to CogitoLab. You can deny either permission and continue using compatible stage, editing, and export functions.

Apple Intelligence and Image Playground

When Apple Intelligence is selected, SayTake uses Apple’s Foundation Models framework for supported text tasks. Availability and processing behavior depend on macOS, device eligibility, model readiness, language, region, and Apple’s system policies. CogitoLab does not proxy or store those Apple Intelligence requests.

When you invoke Image Playground, SayTake presents Apple’s system experience. An image you confirm is copied into the local project. Image Playground availability and processing are governed by Apple and your system configuration.

SayTake may use Apple Vision locally for layout analysis. A local check does not require sending the stage to CogitoLab.

Custom model providers

Pro lets you configure an OpenAI-compatible or Anthropic-compatible endpoint. SayTake contacts that provider only after you explicitly configure, select, and use the connection. API credentials are stored in macOS Keychain and are not written into the project package, diagnostics, or normal logs.

Depending on the command you approve, SayTake can send the scoped prompt, script text, relevant Scene or element identifiers, layout information, and other content needed for the request. For a multimodal Director check, a camera-free rendered stage image in the selected 16:9 or 9:16 format may be sent. Raw camera and microphone streams are not included.

Your provider can receive network metadata and the submitted content. Its terms, privacy policy, retention, training settings, fees, and regional availability apply. Review the change preview before applying model-generated edits, and do not submit content you are not permitted to share.

Pro purchase information

Apple processes App Store purchases and maintains the entitlement associated with your Apple account. SayTake reads the StoreKit transaction or current entitlement needed to unlock Pro. CogitoLab does not receive your full payment-card details.

Diagnostics, support, and this website

V1 has no in-app advertising tracker and does not automatically send product analytics or project diagnostics to CogitoLab. If you contact support, we receive what you choose to put in the email and use it to respond, secure the service, and resolve the reported issue. Never send API keys, passwords, signing certificates, or sensitive source material.

This static website does not set SayTake analytics or advertising cookies and contains no tracker script. Its hosting and network providers may process ordinary request metadata, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and security logs, to deliver and protect the site.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

You control local project retention. Delete projects, Takes, exports, or imported assets through SayTake or Finder, subject to backups you operate. Remove a custom provider in Settings and delete its credential from Keychain; revoke camera or microphone access in System Settings. Support email is retained only as reasonably needed for the request, legal obligations, abuse prevention, and service security.

SayTake is a professional creation tool and is not directed to children. We may update this policy when the product or law changes and will post a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated through a reasonable product or website notice.
